We hope all is well with all our fellow members and chapters around the country. We have accomplished many things this semester here in the southern region. After having a very successful Southern Regional Symposium, thanks to our St. Thomas Chapter in Houston, many chapters were able to network and build relationships with a variety of companies, alumni and a variety of chapters! Also, from a chapter standpoint we were able to learn about different accomplishments from our surrounding chapters and how they have become so successful by offering us information that could help us grow our own chapters.
Here in the southern region, we most definitely look forward in continuing our relationships this summer at our Summer Leaders Conference and to once again welcome the new boards and officers of different chapters and help build better and stronger relationships within our southern region.
Our goals as chapters in the southern region are to begin working more heavily with our surrounding chapters. By learning to help one another we have learned that there is a lot more to be gained by working with one another! We plan on continuing to build relationships with different new schools in helping them understand the benefits of becoming an HBSA chapter! Also as Southern Regional Chapters we are continuing our traditions of being the premier student organizations within our universities!
As this semester comes to a close and new one begins, we look forward to helping "bring home our national chapter title" back to the Southern Region.
