The Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists, Inc. (MAES) and National Hispanic Business Association (NHBA) are partnering and joining forces in putting together the first and B.E.S.T. (Business Engineering Scientist and Technology) Hispanic Symposium and Career Fair in the history of both organizations. MAES and NHBA goal this year is to combine the various disciplines into a complimentary program of workshops and allow the opportunity for cross pollination while expanding the networking pool to conference participants. Conference Sponsors will be able to tap into a larger pool of talented members representing both organizations. Again, Mark your calendars!

WHO IS MAES?
MAES was founded in Los Angeles in 1974 by a group of professional engineers to advance and increase the number of Latinos, especially those of Mexican American descent, in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by creating opportunities and fostering recognition through its professional, technical, and outreach activities. The mission and vision of MAES is to promote excellence in engineering, science, and mathematics. It is also venue to cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists.

By projecting a positive image of its members and their accomplishments, MAES helps to improve society’s perceptions of Hispanics. MAES, as NHBA provide a networking and nurturing environment to develop their professional image and its member have opportunities to develop and hone their leadership, communication, management, and technical skills.
